This was our 6th trip to Rhodes as we have family there, but we pick a different hotel each time. We haven't stayed as far down as Lindos before, but it is a lovely location and this hotel is placed well on a lovely quiet bay before the main Lindos beach. The weather was perfect the entire week, considering it was the last week of the seaon with the island closing until next year April. It means a lot is already closed and not as many things are available or are closing early. Like the Waterpark in Falariki which had its final day on the Tuesday after we arrived on Saturday.
Over Lindos Royal Hotel:
We choose the Swim-up Suite with a lovely shared-pool from the room & a view over the hotel restaurant with the sea in the distance. The food was good, with a wide selection. The staff and service was excellent. The room was a family suite, but they only provided a folded out double sofa bed for our two children of 13 & 16. It was hard and sharing bedding not suitable. Twin beds with proper mattresses would have been better. But the room was cleaned daily, beds made & new towels provided. The hotel was tired and in need of repair. There were broken tiles and pieces of concrete missing on paths. In the public toilets, the doors needed painting as the paint had worn off round the handles, and the cheap plastic toilet seats didn’t fit. The mirror was brown at the bottom. The Games Room was the worst. It was a small room full of arcade machines, dirty on the floor where machines had moved, with a door to a maintenance cupboard letting in the smell of sewage. I hope it’s refurbished.
