Rethymno Mare & Waterpark

Good hotel with the private beach. Far from the city center and 1 hour drive from the airport by private transfer ( by bus takes by 2 hours more). The beach has stones and it is difficult to enter the sea. So take special shoes and will not be a problem to enjoy the beach.

Is beautiful hotel with great choice. 3 swimming pools Kids loved it. If you want to have a sun bench at the biggest pool, so better to reserve it from the early morning. It is great to have a possibility of adults’ pool only, super calm and relaxing. All pools and beach have bars. The staff is so lovely and hard working. Lovely Maria from the beach bar is doing great coffee and nice cocktails, she deserves 10 mark. The main bar at the reception is open from 5 p.m till midnight, however there are only 2 barman sometimes you wait for the cocktails apprx 30 mins. Great food ,big variety of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner for adults and kids. The downside are drinks at the restaurant (all drinks are salty...) The rooms are good (we had private pool) and standard sea view. If you would like your room to be cleaned every day, put a sign, otherwise it will be done every 2nd day. The disadvantage is WIFI, for such a big hotel the wifi connection is poor.

Kreta is prachtig. Je hebt wel echt een auto nodig om alles te bereiken en dan is het vaak nog heel wat uurtjes rijden overal naar toe. Maar dan zie je ook wel de meest mooie plekken.

Het hotel is prima en we hadden een fijne kamer met smart tv. Er was een zwembad voor alleen volwassenen wat erg fijn was voor de rust. Boven waar het grote zwembad was, was het druk met kinderen en werden leuke activiteiten georganiseerd. We hadden in de avond wel vaak koud water en de kamer werd niet iedere dag schoongemaakt en moest we dus vaak zelf achter de schonen handdoeken aan.
